Project: The line for the production of prototype products has received co-financing
In order to ensure uncompromised quality and environmental standards, the company has invested in a modern line for the manufacturing of prototypes consisting of a Sinterit NILS 480 3D printer and a 3-axis EMCO EMCOMILL 1200 CNC machine. Both devices are digitally connected into a line through an IT system for machine monitoring. To improve production efficiency, the currently used 5-axis CNC machine will be replaced with a 3D printer and 3-axis CNC machine. Larger and simpler pieces are made with the milling machine, while more complex pieces, where the processing of blanks is time-consuming and wastes material, are made with the SLS 3D printer.
The IT solution in connection with the new technological process:
- The 3D printing machine is controlled by a new programme for the transfer of 3D models into the printing process. The software digitally guides the user through the entire printing process, starting from model loading and editing, to monitoring the printer's status and all the way to the end of printing.
- The EMCOMILL machine is equipped with the latest Siemens control technology. In addition to the interactive OP panel, the control panel includes a rotation function for additional ergonomic work (process digitalisation).
The planned results: A reduction in the consumption of energy and materials, as well as an increase in added value per employee.
The project implementation period/eligibility period: From 29th March 2022 to 30th September 2023.
The total project value: EUR 224,199.20
Eligible costs: EUR 200,000.00 – 100% aid intensity rate of the eligible costs.
The investment is part of the measures financed under the Recovery and Resilience Plan: https://www.gov.si/zbirke/projekti-in-programi/nacrt-za-okrevanje-in-odpornost
The project is “Funded by the EU - NextGenerationEU”.
